Possible Causes

Clogged injector/venturi, Air leak in brine line, Stuck brine valve, Blocked drain line causing no suction

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Place the unit in bypass and unplug before servicing. Be prepared for water discharge when opening lines.

  • Check drain line: Ensure the drain hose is not kinked, frozen, or blocked. Verify that the drain termination is not submerged, which can prevent flow.
  • Inspect brine line connections: Tighten all compression fittings on the brine line. Replace cracked or hardened tubing.
  • Clean injector: Remove the injector/venturi assembly from the valve. Soak in warm water and clean all small passages. Reinstall with new gaskets if provided.
  • Test brine draw: Start a manual regeneration and observe the brine level during the brine draw stage. If it still does not drop, the valve body or rotor & disc may be worn and require service.
