Possible Causes
Drive motor failure, Jammed rotor & disc, Control board not advancing cycle, Obstruction in valve body
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Immediately place the unit in bypass to restore water to the home and prevent drain overuse. Unplug the transformer.
- Check display: Note which step of regeneration is indicated (backwash, brine, rinse). This can help identify where it is stuck.
- Inspect drive assembly: Remove the valve cover and observe the cam and motor. If the motor is not turning when powered, it may be defective.
- Check for binding: Attempt to rotate the cam by hand with power off. If it is seized, remove and inspect the rotor & disc and seals for damage or debris.
- Reset control: After correcting mechanical issues, power cycle the unit and manually advance through the cycle steps to ensure smooth operation.
- If it repeatedly sticks: Replace the drive motor and/or control board as needed.
