Possible Causes
Damaged O-rings or seals, Cracked valve body, Loose plumbing connections, Improperly seated rotor & disc
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Place the unit in bypass and shut off water if necessary. Unplug the transformer. Have towels or a pan ready for water spillage.
- Identify leak source: Dry the area and observe where water first appears: around the valve cover, plumbing fittings, or brine connections.
- Tighten fittings: Gently tighten threaded connections on inlet/outlet and drain lines. Do not overtighten plastic fittings.
- Inspect valve cover O-ring: Remove the valve cover and check the large O-ring for nicks or flattening. Replace if damaged.
- Check rotor & disc seals: Worn seals can allow water to leak past and out of the valve. Replace the seal & spacer kit if needed.
- Replace cracked parts: If the valve body or cover is cracked, replace the affected component.
