Possible Causes
Rotor & disc not sealing, Debris under rotor, Cracked valve body, Mispositioned cam
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Place the unit in bypass to stop water loss. Unplug the transformer before opening the valve.
- Confirm drain flow: Check the drain hose outlet. A steady stream when the unit is in service indicates internal leakage.
- Inspect rotor & disc: Remove the valve cover and rotor & disc. Clean both surfaces and the valve cavity thoroughly.
- Replace seals: Install a new seal & spacer kit if the old seals are worn or deformed.
- Check for cracks: Examine the valve body for hairline cracks around the drain port. Replace the valve body if cracked.
- Reassemble and test: Return the unit to service and verify that drain flow stops when not regenerating.
