Display shows E02 and unit will not draw brine during regeneration

Safety first: Unplug the softener. Place the system in BYPASS to isolate it from house plumbing.

• Inspect brine line: Follow the 3/8" brine tube from the Waterguy control valve to the brine tank. Check for kinks, pinches, or cracks. Replace damaged tubing.
• Check brine line fittings: Remove and re-seat the compression or push-fit fittings at both ends. Ensure the ferrules or O-rings are intact and not cracked. Tighten snugly to prevent air leaks.
• Clean venturi/eductor: On the control valve head, locate the venturi/eductor housing (usually under a cap labeled "Injector" or similar). Remove the cap and carefully pull out the injector nozzle and throat. Soak parts in white vinegar for 15–30 minutes to dissolve scale, then rinse thoroughly and reassemble in the correct orientation.
• Check brine well: Open the brine tank lid and remove the brine well cover (the inner tube). Ensure the brine safety float assembly moves freely and is not crusted with salt. Clean off salt bridges and debris.
• Test suction: Return the unit to SERVICE, plug it in, and manually start a regeneration. During brine draw, disconnect the brine line at the tank and place your finger over the end; you should feel suction. If no suction and E02 returns, the internal brine valve or control head may need replacement.
