Possible Causes

Electrical noise on flow sensor line, Partially stuck flow turbine, Control board sensitivity issue, Small intermittent leak downstream causing real low flow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Verify there are no actual leaks in the home before assuming a sensor fault.

  • Check for real flow: Shut off the main valve after the Waterguy softener. If E11 clears, there may be a small leak in house plumbing (toilet, humidifier, RO system).
  • Inspect flow meter: As with E05, remove and clean the turbine and meter housing. Ensure no debris is causing it to spin erratically.
  • Secure wiring: Make sure the flow sensor cable is routed away from high-voltage lines and is not damaged. Reseat the connector on the control board.
  • Reset alarm: Clear the alarm per the user manual and monitor. If it recurs with no actual flow, the sensor or board may be overly sensitive.

Persistent false E11 alarms usually require replacement of the Waterguy flow sensor or main control board.
