Possible Causes
Clogged brine refill flow control, Blocked brine line, Low inlet pressure, Stuck refill valve in control head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and place it in BYPASS. Depressurize before removing fittings.
- Inspect brine refill orifice: On the Waterguy valve, locate the brine refill flow control (often a small button or orifice in the brine line connection). Remove and soak in vinegar to remove scale.
- Check brine line: Ensure the brine tube from the valve to the tank is not kinked or blocked. Replace if necessary.
- Verify pressure: Confirm adequate house water pressure. Very low pressure can prevent proper refill.
- Manual test: Manually advance the valve to the brine refill stage and observe water entering the brine tank. If no flow, the internal refill valve may be stuck and the valve head may need service.
