Possible Causes
Failed control valve motor, Jammed piston/seal pack, Broken cam gear, Control board not advancing cycle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately place the bypass valve in BYPASS to stop water waste, then unplug the unit.
- Inspect valve head: Remove the cover and look for broken gears or obvious leaks around the piston area.
- Manual advance: With power restored briefly, try to manually step the valve through stages using the control buttons. If it will not move, the motor or piston is likely jammed.
- Check motor connection: Ensure the motor harness is connected and not burnt.
- Service piston/seals: Rebuild or replace the Waterguy piston and seal kit or entire valve head if internal parts are worn or seized.
