Possible Causes
Clogged venturi/injector, Air leak in brine line, Blocked brine well or air check, Low water pressure to softener
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Bypass the softener and relieve pressure before removing injector parts.
- Check brine level change: Mark the brine level at the start of brine draw. If it does not drop after 15–20 minutes, there is a draw problem.
- Clean injector/venturi: Remove the Watersoft injector assembly, including nozzle, throat, and screens. Soak in vinegar and gently clean all passages.
- Inspect brine line and air check: Ensure the brine line is fully submerged and connected to the air check at the bottom of the brine well. Clean the air check valve so it opens freely.
- Check for air leaks: Tighten all brine line connections. Any air leak will prevent proper suction.
- Verify pressure: Confirm household water pressure meets Watersoft minimum requirements (typically 20–25 psi).
