Possible Causes
Insufficient rinse time programmed, Drain line restriction reducing rinse flow, Stuck brine valve not closing fully, Incorrect valve position during service
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid drinking water that tastes salty until the issue is resolved.
- Increase rinse time: In the Watersoft programming, lengthen the fast rinse cycle to ensure all brine is flushed from the resin bed.
- Check drain flow: Inspect and clear the drain line and flow control to restore full rinse flow.
- Inspect brine valve: Ensure the brine valve fully closes at the end of brine draw. Replace if it leaks.
- Verify valve timing: Confirm the cam and position switch are correctly synchronized so the valve is in true service position after regeneration.
