Possible Causes
Incorrect time of day or regeneration time set, Controller in vacation or bypass mode, Faulty drive motor preventing cycle start, Stuck keypad button preventing programming
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing covers.
- Verify time and schedule: Check that the current time and regeneration time are set correctly on the Watersoft controller. Ensure the regeneration mode (metered/time-clock) is appropriate.
- Check vacation/bypass mode: Some Watersoft models have a vacation or service lockout mode. Disable any such mode in the menu.
- Manual regen test: Attempt to start a manual regeneration from the control panel. If it will not start, suspect a keypad or control board issue.
- Inspect drive motor: Remove the cover and observe whether the motor attempts to run when a regen is commanded. Replace the Watersoft drive motor if it does not respond.
If programming is correct and the motor and keypad are functional, the main control board may need replacement.
