Possible Causes

Clogged injector/venturi, Blocked brine line, Stuck brine float, Brine valve not opening

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass. Wear gloves when handling brine and salt.

Steps:

  • Check brine level change: Start a manual regeneration and watch the brine tank. If the water level does not drop during brine draw, there is a flow problem.
  • Inspect brine line: Ensure the brine line from the valve head to the brine tank is not kinked or blocked. Disconnect at both ends and blow through it to confirm it is clear.
  • Clean injector/venturi: Remove and clean the injector/venturi assembly and screens on the valve head. Iron and scale commonly clog these parts.
  • Check brine float: Remove the brine well cover and lift the float assembly. Make sure it moves freely and is not stuck in the up (shutoff) position. Clean any salt sludge.

Resolution: If brine still does not draw after cleaning, replace the injector/venturi kit and inspect/replace the brine valve assembly as needed.
