Softener does not draw brine during regeneration (water level in brine tank does not drop)

Safety first: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass before servicing. Relieve pressure by opening a faucet.

Steps to check:

• 1. Clean venturi/injector: Remove and clean all parts of the venturi assembly. Ensure all small passages are clear.
• 2. Check drain line flow: During brine draw, there must be strong flow to the drain to create suction. Clear any kinks or obstructions.
• 3. Inspect brine line and float: Ensure all connections are tight and the float assembly moves freely. Replace cracked tubing or damaged float valves.
• 4. Test with clear tubing: Temporarily use clear tubing on the brine line to visually confirm whether brine is moving during regeneration.

When to call a technician: If brine still does not move after these steps, internal valve passages may be blocked or damaged.
