Water leaking from brine tank or around brine well

Safety first: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass. Mop up standing water to prevent slip hazards.

Steps to check:

• 1. Inspect brine tank: Look for visible cracks or splits in the tank walls or bottom. If cracked, the tank must be replaced.
• 2. Check brine line fittings: Tighten the nut where the brine line connects to the control valve and the brine well. Replace ferrules or O-rings if worn.
• 3. Inspect float assembly: Remove the brine well cover and check the float and safety valve. Ensure it moves freely and shuts off water at the correct level. Replace if stuck or damaged.
• 4. Verify refill control: If the tank overfills during regeneration, the refill valve or control valve may be allowing too much water. Inspect and clean the refill orifice and valve.
