Possible Causes

Blocked condensate drain channel, Cracked drain tray, Excessive condensation due to door seal failure, Faulty leak sensor or float switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance before removing internal panels or working near water.

Steps:

  • 1. Check for visible water: Look at the bottom of the cabinet and rear area for standing water or overflow from the condensate tray.
  • 2. Clear drain channel: Inside the cabinet, locate the small drain hole at the rear (if present). Use a soft pipe cleaner or flexible wire to gently clear any blockage. Flush with a small amount of warm water.
  • 3. Inspect drain tray: From the rear, locate the condensate tray above the compressor. Check for cracks or misalignment that could cause water to spill onto a leak sensor.
  • 4. Check leak sensor/float: If your model has a float switch or sensor pad, ensure it is clean and correctly positioned. Dry any water and reset the float.
  • 5. Door seal: A poor door seal can cause excessive condensation. Inspect and replace the gasket if necessary.
  • 6. Sensor replacement: If E15 persists with no water present, the leak sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
