Steps:

• 1. Confirm settings: Ensure the unit is switched on, not in standby, and the set temperature is below ambient.
• 2. Listen for operation: After plugging in, listen for any relay clicks or fan noise. Total silence suggests no power to the cooling circuit.
• 3. Check wiring at rear: Remove the rear panel and inspect the wiring from the control board to the compressor and fans. Look for loose connectors or burnt wires.
• 4. Test thermostat/control (if mechanical): On older AEG models with a mechanical thermostat, test for continuity across the thermostat contacts when set to cold. Replace if open.
• 5. Control board relay: If power is present at the board but not leaving the compressor relay, the relay or board is faulty and the board should be replaced.
