• 2. Inspect sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet sensor is correctly clipped to the liner and not touching the evaporator directly, which can cause it to read too cold or too warm.
• 3. Test sensor: Remove and measure resistance at known temperatures. Replace if out of specification.
• 4. Mechanical thermostat (if fitted): Test for continuity. If it remains closed regardless of knob position, replace the thermostat.
• 5. Control board: If sensors and thermostat are good but the compressor never cycles off, the control board may be defective and require replacement.
