Displayed temperature does not match actual temperature inside the wine cooler

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the sensor.

• Verify with a thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer in the center of the cabinet away from walls and compare to the display after several hours of stable operation.
• Check sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet thermistor is properly mounted and not touching the evaporator or walls directly.
• Test thermistor: Measure resistance and compare to Amana's temperature-resistance chart. Replace if out of tolerance.
• Allow for stratification: Recognize that some temperature variation between top and bottom shelves is normal. Use the middle shelves for the most critical bottles.
• Control board replacement: If the sensor is accurate but the display remains significantly off, the main control board may be miscalibrated and require replacement.
