Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing controls or sensors.

• Verify temperature setting: Confirm the setpoint is appropriate for wine storage (typically 45–65°F). Adjust upward if set too low.
• Check sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet thermistor is properly mounted and not touching the evaporator coil directly, which can cause false readings.
• Test mechanical thermostat (if equipped): For dial-controlled Amana models, turn the thermostat from coldest to warmest and listen for a click. Lack of a click may indicate a stuck thermostat that needs replacement.
• Replace faulty sensor or thermostat: If the thermistor tests out of spec or the thermostat is stuck, install the correct Amana replacement part.
• Control board evaluation: If the compressor runs continuously despite correct sensor readings and settings, the main control board relay may be stuck and should be replaced.
