Possible Causes

Failed upper zone thermistor, Loose sensor connector on control board, Damaged wiring harness to upper compartment, Faulty control board sensor channel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the dual-zone wine cooler before removing interior panels.

  • Access upper zone sensor: Remove shelves from the upper compartment. Look for a small sensor probe on the rear or side wall, or behind a small cover.
  • Inspect sensor and wiring: Check for physical damage, moisture intrusion, or loose mounting. Ensure the sensor cable is not pinched by shelves.
  • Test resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to the lower zone sensor if accessible; values should be similar.
  • Reconnect at control board: At the rear, access the main control PCB and verify the upper zone sensor connector is fully seated.
  • Replace sensor: If readings are out of range, install a new upper zone temperature sensor / thermistor for your Antarctic Star model.
  • Control board replacement: If a new sensor does not resolve F1, the main control PCB may have a defective sensor channel.
