Possible Causes

Failed lower zone thermistor, Loose or corroded connector, Damaged wiring harness to lower compartment, Faulty control board sensor channel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before servicing.

  • Access lower zone sensor: Remove shelves from the lower compartment and locate the sensor on the rear or side wall, or behind a small plastic cover.
  • Inspect sensor: Check for cracks, moisture, or dislodged mounting. Ensure the cable is not damaged by bottle racks.
  • Test sensor: Disconnect and measure resistance. Compare to the upper zone sensor at similar temperature. Replace if open or shorted.
  • Check harness at PCB: At the rear, confirm the lower zone sensor connector is properly seated on the main control PCB.
  • Replace sensor: Install a new lower zone temperature sensor / thermistor if defective.
  • Control board: If F2 persists with a good sensor, replace the main control PCB.
