Possible Causes
Aging thermistor, Sensor not in correct airflow path, Control board calibration drift, Sensor partially detached from wall
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before adjusting or replacing sensors.
- Verify with a reliable thermometer: Place a calibrated thermometer in the center of the cabinet away from walls and compare readings after several hours.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the cabinet temperature sensor is firmly attached to the wall or bracket and not touching the evaporator coil.
- Replace thermistor: If the display is consistently off by more than a few degrees, replace the cabinet thermistor.
- Control board: If a new sensor does not correct the discrepancy, the main control PCB may have calibration issues and require replacement.
