Possible Causes
Failed Peltier module, Inoperative internal or external heat sink fan, Dried or missing thermal paste between module and heat sink, Faulty Peltier driver circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before disassembling the Peltier assembly. Heat sinks can have sharp fins.
- Identify cooler type: Confirm your Aobosi model is thermoelectric (no compressor). These units rely on Peltier modules and fans.
- Check fans: With the rear cover removed, power the unit briefly (if safe) to see if both internal and external fans run. If a fan is not running, unplug and test/replace that fan.
- Inspect Peltier module: The module is sandwiched between two heat sinks. Look for signs of overheating or cracking.
- Replace Peltier module: If fans are good but no cooling occurs, remove the heat sink assembly, clean old thermal paste, and install a new Aobosi-compatible Peltier module with fresh thermal compound on both sides.
- Driver circuit: If a new module does not cool, the Peltier driver on the control board may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
