Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or touching any wiring.

Steps to address E6:

Power cycle: Unplug the cooler for 5–10 minutes to reset the electronics. If E6 reappears, continue.
Inspect control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel or top trim (depending on model). Gently pull the panel forward to access the ribbon cable.
Check connections: Ensure the ribbon cable or harness from the control panel is fully seated in both the panel and main board connectors. Reseat by unplugging and plugging back in.
Look for moisture or corrosion: If there are signs of condensation or liquid spills inside the panel, dry the area thoroughly and clean light corrosion with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
Test panel response: Reassemble loosely, restore power, and test buttons. If the error persists and some keys do not respond, the Arctic King control panel / user interface board is likely faulty.
Replace if needed: Order the correct control panel assembly for your model and swap it, transferring any decorative trim as required.

Note: If a new panel does not resolve E6, the main control board may have a communication fault and should be replaced.

Display shows E6 and the control panel may be unresponsive or behave erratically.
