Possible Causes
Corrupted control board firmware, Power surge damage to main PCB, Shorted keypad or display module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening any panels.
Steps to address Er:
- Power reset: Disconnect power for at least 10 minutes to fully discharge the control board. Plug back in and observe if Er clears.
- Check for surge damage: Inspect the main control board for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or scorch marks. If present, the board must be replaced.
- Inspect keypad/display: Remove the control panel and check for moisture, corrosion, or physical damage. Disconnect the keypad/display harness from the main board and reconnect firmly.
- Try operating again: If the error persists and no obvious wiring issues are found, replace the Arctic King main control board and, if necessary, the control panel assembly.
Note: Use a surge protector to prevent future control board damage from power spikes.
