Possible Causes

Stuck relay on main control board keeping compressor on, Shorted temperature sensor reading too warm, Control board logic fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing the control board or sensors.

How to address L1:

  • Verify actual temperature: Place an accurate thermometer inside the cooler to confirm that the interior is indeed too cold compared to the set temperature.
  • Adjust set point: Increase the set temperature a few degrees and observe if the compressor cycles off. If it continues running, suspect a control issue.
  • Check cabinet sensor: Test the cabinet NTC sensor for proper resistance. A shorted sensor can trick the board into thinking the cabinet is warm, causing overcooling. Replace the cabinet temperature sensor if readings are abnormal.
  • Inspect main control board: Look for signs of a stuck relay (burn marks, clicking but no change in compressor state). If the compressor remains on even when the unit is unplugged and replugged with power off at the panel, the relay may be welded closed.
  • Replace control board if needed: If the sensor is good and the compressor does not cycle properly, replace the Arctic King main control board.

Note: Prolonged overcooling can damage wine; address this issue promptly.
