Digital display shows E1 and cabinet is not cooling or cooling erratically.

Safety first: Unplug the Artevino wine cabinet from the mains before opening any panels. Do not work on live circuits.

• Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E1 clears temporarily but returns, the sensor is likely faulty.
• Locate the cabinet NTC: On most Artevino wine cabinets, the cabinet temperature probe is mounted on the rear interior wall or behind an interior plastic cover near the middle of the compartment. Remove shelves carefully to access it.
• Inspect the probe and wiring: Check for cuts, pinched cable, or corrosion at the connector where the NTC harness plugs into the main control board (usually behind the top control panel or rear service panel). Reseat the connector firmly.
• Test the NTC: With a multimeter set to resistance, measure the NTC at room temperature. Typical wine-cabinet NTCs are 5k–10kΩ at 25°C. If the reading is open (infinite) or near 0Ω, the sensor is defective.
• Replace the NTC probe: If faulty, remove the retaining clip or screw, gently pull out the probe, and route the new Artevino-compatible NTC along the same path, avoiding sharp bends. Reconnect to the control board.
• Reassemble and test: Restore power, set a target temperature, and verify that E1 does not reappear and that the cabinet begins cooling normally.
