Display shows E2 and the compressor does not run or runs continuously without proper temperature control.

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing any interior panels. Edges of metal panels can be sharp.

• Access the evaporator area: Remove interior shelves and the rear inner panel (usually held by screws) to expose the evaporator coil on Artevino units.
• Locate the evaporator NTC: It is typically clipped to the evaporator tubing or mounted in a small plastic holder on the coil.
• Check for ice buildup: If the sensor is encased in ice, allow the unit to defrost fully (door open, unit unplugged for several hours). After defrosting, reconnect power to see if E2 clears. Persistent E2 indicates a sensor or wiring fault.
• Inspect wiring and connector: Look for broken insulation, pulled wires, or corrosion at the connector where the NTC plugs into the control board. Reseat the connector.
• Measure sensor resistance: At room temperature, measure resistance with a multimeter. Compare to the cabinet NTC value; if it is open or shorted, replace the sensor.
• Replace the evaporator NTC: Unclip the old sensor, route the new Artevino-compatible evaporator probe along the same path, and secure it to the coil to ensure good thermal contact.
• Reassemble and test: Refit the inner panel, restore power, and verify that E2 disappears and cooling cycles normally.
