Possible Causes

Defective magnetic door switch or reed sensor, Misaligned door magnet, Shorted LED light module, Faulty light driver on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before working on the light or door switch.

  • Check door operation: Open and close the door while observing the light. If the light never changes state, suspect the door switch or magnet.
  • Inspect door magnet: Many Artevino models use a magnet embedded in the door frame and a reed switch in the cabinet. Verify the magnet is present and not loose.
  • Test reed switch: Access the switch (often behind the front frame or control panel). With a multimeter, check continuity while placing a magnet near the switch. Replace if it does not change state.
  • Check LED module: If the light is always off but the switch tests good, remove the light cover and test the LED module for continuity or visible damage. Replace with an Artevino-compatible LED assembly if faulty.
  • Control board check: If both switch and LED are good, the light driver on the main PCB may be defective, requiring board replacement.
