Possible Causes
Failed lower zone NTC sensor, Loose or damaged lower zone harness, Faulty lower zone control circuit on main PCB, Sensor short due to water ingress
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working inside the cabinet.
- Locate lower zone sensor: Find the NTC probe in the lower compartment wall or rear panel.
- Inspect sensor: Remove the cover, check for physical damage or moisture, and reseat the connector.
- Measure resistance: Compare with the upper zone sensor at similar temperature. Replace the lower zone NTC if readings are out of range.
- Check wiring to PCB: Ensure the harness is not pinched under shelves or panels and is firmly connected to the main board.
- Replace PCB if needed: If sensor and wiring are good, the lower zone control section of the PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
