How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.
- Check settings: Ensure the cooler is not in demo or showroom mode (refer to Balay user manual for key combination to exit). Set a colder temperature and wait 10–15 minutes.
- Door status: Verify the door switch is working and that the control panel does not indicate an open door when closed.
- Listen for relay click: When the unit should start cooling, listen for a click from the control board. No click may indicate a failed relay or control board.
- Professional repair: If settings and door switch are correct but the compressor never receives power, the main PCB or relay must be replaced by a technician.
