Display shows E11 and the upper and lower zones (on dual-zone models) do not maintain independent temperatures.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dual-zone Blastcool wine cooler before removing interior panels or control covers.
- Identify affected zone: Compare setpoints and actual temperatures in both zones. Determine whether one or both zones are misreading.
- Check each zone sensor: Each zone typically has its own NTC sensor on the rear or side wall. Remove the interior covers and inspect sensor placement and wiring.
- Swap sensor connectors (advanced): On some models, you can temporarily swap the upper and lower zone sensor plugs on the PCB. If the error or misreading follows the sensor, the sensor is faulty; if it stays with the zone, the PCB or wiring is suspect.
- Inspect interzone harness: Dual-zone models may have a harness linking a secondary control board to the main PCB. Ensure all connectors are fully seated.
- Replace faulty sensor: Install a new Blastcool upper zone NTC sensor or lower zone NTC sensor as required.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and verify that each zone now reads correctly and that E11 clears.
If both sensors test good and wiring is intact, the dual-zone control logic on the main PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
