Display shows E12 and the interior LED lighting flickers or does not turn on.

Possible Causes

Failed LED driver on PCB, Shorted LED strip, Loose lighting harness connector, Overloaded low-voltage supply

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect mains power before working on the lighting system. Even low-voltage circuits originate from mains-powered boards.

  • Check door switch behavior: Confirm that the door switch (or sensor) is working, as it often controls the light. If the door alarm works but the light does not, the issue is likely in the lighting circuit.
  • Inspect LED strips: Remove interior trim as needed to access LED strips along the sides or top. Look for burn marks, discoloration, or water ingress.
  • Check connectors: Follow the LED wiring to its connector on the main PCB or a separate LED driver board. Ensure all plugs are tight.
  • Test with a known-good strip (advanced): If available, temporarily connect a spare Blastcool LED light strip to the lighting output to see if it illuminates. If it does, the original strip is faulty.
  • Replace faulty components: Install a new LED strip if the original is shorted or open. If no LED strip works and there is no low-voltage output, the LED driver circuit on the main control PCB may need replacement.
  • Reassemble and test: Restore power and verify stable lighting without flicker and that E12 is cleared.

Persistent E12 with good strips and wiring indicates a PCB-level fault best handled by a professional.
