Possible Causes

Failed touch control panel, Moisture ingress into UI board, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Faulty UI input circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or top trim.

  • Dry the control area: If the cooler is installed outdoors or in a damp area, moisture can affect the touch panel. Wipe the surface dry and allow the unit to sit unplugged for several hours.
  • Inspect the UI board: Remove the control panel bezel to access the user interface PCB. Look for corrosion, water marks, or physical damage.
  • Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable or harness between the UI board and main control PCB is fully seated at both ends and not kinked or torn.
  • Clean connectors: Use contact cleaner on the ribbon connectors if they appear oxidized. Allow to dry completely before reassembly.
  • Replace UI board if needed: If certain buttons never respond or random inputs occur, install a new Blastcool touch control panel / UI PCB.
  • Test operation: Restore power and verify that all buttons respond correctly and that E13 is cleared.

If the UI board is new and correctly connected but E13 persists, the main control PCB may not be processing UI signals correctly and should be replaced.
