Possible Causes
Blocked condensate drain channel, Kinked or disconnected drain hose, Faulty leak sensor (if equipped), Excessive door openings causing condensation overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working inside the cabinet or near the compressor area.
- Locate the drain channel: Inside the cabinet, find the small drain hole at the rear (usually just above the step to the compressor compartment).
- Clear the drain: Use a soft pipe cleaner or flexible plastic rod to gently clear any debris or mold from the drain hole. Do not use sharp metal objects that can puncture the liner.
- Flush with warm water: Using a turkey baster or syringe, flush warm (not boiling) water through the drain to ensure it flows freely to the rear drain pan.
- Check external drain hose: At the back of the unit, inspect the drain hose for kinks, clogs, or disconnection from the drain pan. Re-seat or replace as needed.
- Inspect leak sensor (if present): Some Blastcool models have a small sensor in the base tray. Dry the area thoroughly and ensure the sensor is clean and properly mounted.
- Reduce condensation load: Avoid leaving the door open for extended periods and ensure the door gasket seals properly to minimize moisture.
- Test: Restore power and monitor for further water accumulation and that E15 clears.
If water continues to appear and E15 recurs, there may be a hidden liner crack or insulation issue requiring professional assessment.
