Possible Causes

Door left open or frequently opened, Failed compressor or start device, Heavy frost blocking evaporator airflow, Refrigerant leak reducing cooling capacity

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the cooler before removing panels or touching internal components.

  • Check door and gasket: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket seals all around. Adjust leveling feet and replace a damaged Blastcool door gasket if necessary.
  • Allow recovery time: If the door was recently left open or the unit was loaded with warm bottles, allow 12–24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
  • Inspect for frost buildup: Remove the interior rear panel and check the evaporator coil. Heavy ice indicates a defrost or airflow problem (see E2/E4).
  • Verify compressor operation: Listen for the compressor running and feel for warmth on the condenser coil. If the compressor is not running, investigate start components (see E5).
  • Check condenser cleanliness: Clean the condenser coil and ensure the condenser fan is operating (see E8).
  • Monitor temperatures: Use an independent thermometer to verify actual cabinet temperature. If H1 persists despite normal operation, the temperature sensor may be misreading (see E1).

If the unit cannot pull down to set temperature after these checks, a sealed system issue (refrigerant leak, restriction) is likely and requires a refrigeration technician.
