Possible Causes

Stuck relay on main PCB keeping compressor on, Faulty temperature sensor reading too warm, Incorrect setpoint or control calibration, Ambient temperature very low (for outdoor units)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the control board or sensors.

  • Verify setpoint: Confirm that the temperature setting has not been accidentally lowered. Adjust to the recommended range for your wines.
  • Check ambient conditions: If the cooler is installed in a very cold environment, the control may behave unpredictably. Ensure ambient temperature is within Blastcool's specified range.
  • Test temperature sensor: Compare the displayed temperature with an independent thermometer inside the cabinet. If the display is inaccurate, inspect and test the cabinet NTC sensor (see E1).
  • Observe compressor cycling: If the compressor runs almost continuously even when the cabinet is very cold, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed.
  • Replace faulty parts: Install a new Blastcool cabinet NTC sensor if misreading. If the relay is stuck, replace the Blastcool main control PCB.
  • Monitor: After repair, monitor cabinet temperature for 24 hours to ensure stable operation and that L1 does not recur.

Over-chilling can damage wine; if you cannot quickly resolve L1, switch the cooler off and store valuable bottles temporarily elsewhere until serviced.
