Possible Causes
Temperature sensor poorly located or loose, Oversensitive thermostat calibration, Dirty condenser causing rapid overheat, Ambient temperature extremes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting sensors or cleaning components.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet NTC sensor is firmly attached to the wall or in its proper housing, away from direct cold air discharge.
- Clean condenser and ensure airflow: A hot condenser can cause the compressor to overheat and shut off quickly. Clean fins and verify the condenser fan runs.
- Stabilize ambient conditions: Avoid installing the Blastcool wine cooler in areas with large temperature swings or direct sunlight.
- Control calibration: If available in the service menu, reset control parameters to factory defaults (refer to service documentation or technician).
Persistent short cycling can damage the compressor; if basic steps do not help, have a technician evaluate the control board and refrigeration system.
