Possible Causes

Failed low-voltage regulator on main PCB, Shorted LED light module, Shorted fan or sensor circuit drawing down supply, Damaged wiring harness causing short to chassis

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before inspecting wiring or boards. Avoid touching exposed solder joints with power applied.

  • Check for obvious shorts: Inspect interior LED light modules, fans, and wiring for burn marks or melted insulation. Disconnect suspect components one at a time and see if E10 clears after reconnecting power.
  • LED module test: If the interior light flickers or never comes on, disconnect the LED module and test the unit. A shorted LED module can trigger E10 and must be replaced.
  • Fan and sensor circuits: Disconnect evaporator fan and non-critical sensors temporarily to isolate a shorted component.
  • Inspect main PCB: Look for burnt low-voltage components (small regulators, diodes, or resistors). If damaged, replace the main control board.
  • Reassemble: Once the faulty component is identified and replaced, reconnect all harnesses, restore power, and verify that E10 is cleared.
