Possible Causes
Loose or damaged ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Faulty touch control/display board, Corroded connectors from moisture, Failed main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or top trim.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the top/front control panel. Carefully pull it forward to expose the display board and wiring.
- Inspect connectors: Check the ribbon cable and plug connectors between the user interface and main PCB. Reseat all connectors firmly.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or liquid spills on the control board. If present, dry the area thoroughly and clean light corrosion with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Visual inspection: Examine the display board for burnt components or cracked solder joints. If damaged, replace the UI/display board with a compatible Blomberg part.
- Board replacement: If wiring and UI board are good but E7 persists, the main PCB may have a communication fault and should be replaced by a technician.
