Possible Causes
Condenser coils clogged with dust, Condenser fan not running, Refrigerant leak or low charge, Door left open or gasket leaking
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before cleaning coils or working near the compressor.
- Check door and gasket: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket seals all around. Look for gaps, tears, or warped sections. Adjust door hinges or replace gasket if needed.
- Clean condenser: Remove the rear or front kick plate to access the condenser coils. Use a soft brush and vacuum to remove dust and lint. Good airflow is critical for Blomberg wine coolers.
- Verify condenser fan operation: With power restored, observe the condenser fan (near the compressor). It should run whenever the compressor runs. If not, unplug and test/replace the condenser fan motor.
- Allow recovery time: After correcting airflow and door issues, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. The H1 alarm should clear automatically once normal temperature is reached.
- Sealed system issues: If the unit runs continuously but cannot reach set temperature, there may be a refrigerant leak or weak compressor. This requires a certified refrigeration technician.
