Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main PCB keeping compressor on, Faulty temperature sensor reading too warm, Control board calibration error, Incorrect setpoint or mode selection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing control components.
- Verify settings: Confirm that the set temperature is appropriate for wine storage (typically 5–18°C depending on zone). Ensure the unit is not in a special rapid-cool mode.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes to reset the control. If L1 returns and the unit continues to overcool, proceed.
- Check temperature sensor: Test the cabinet NTC sensor for proper resistance. A sensor reading too high (warm) will cause overcooling. Replace if out of spec.
- Inspect main PCB: Look for a stuck or welded compressor relay. If the compressor runs continuously even when the setpoint is reached, the relay or control logic may be faulty. Replace the main PCB.
- Monitor operation: After repairs, monitor temperature with an accurate thermometer to ensure stable operation and that the L1 alarm clears.
