Possible Causes
Aging or drifting NTC sensor, Poor sensor placement or contact, Control board calibration offset, Warm air stratification inside cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer in the center of the cabinet away from walls and wait several hours. Compare to the display reading.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the cabinet sensor is properly clipped and not touching the evaporator or light, which can skew readings.
- Replace sensor: If the discrepancy is large (more than 2–3°C) and stable, replace the cabinet NTC sensor with a compatible Blomberg part.
- Control calibration: Some models allow minor calibration via service mode; refer to the service manual. If not available and the issue persists, the main PCB may need replacement.
