Possible Causes
Failed magnetic reed switch, Misaligned door magnet, Broken door switch wiring, Faulty door sensor input on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing trim or accessing the door switch wiring.
Steps:
- Identify door sensor type: Many BODEGA43 models use a magnetic reed switch in the cabinet frame and a magnet in the door.
- Check magnet alignment: Verify that the magnet in the door aligns with the switch location when the door is closed. Adjust the door or magnet position if necessary.
- Test the switch: Access the reed switch (often behind a small plastic cover in the frame). With a multimeter on continuity, place the magnet near the switch; the reading should change from open to closed.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the switch wires to the main control board. Look for breaks or loose connectors.
- Replace components: If the switch does not respond to the magnet, replace the door reed switch. If the magnet is missing or weak, replace the door magnet.
After repair: Restore power and confirm that the dE code clears when the door is closed and that the interior light and fans operate normally.
