Possible Causes
Failed DC evaporator fan motor, Obstructed fan blades by ice or wiring, Loose fan connector at control board, Faulty fan driver circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing interior panels or touching the fan.
How to proceed:
- Listen for fan operation: With the door closed and unit running (before unplugging), listen for the evaporator fan behind the rear interior panel. No sound or intermittent noise suggests a fan issue.
- Access the fan: Remove shelves and the rear inner plastic cover. The evaporator fan is mounted in front of or beside the evaporator coil.
- Check for obstructions: Look for ice buildup, loose wires, or packaging material blocking the fan blades. Clear any obstructions and ensure the fan spins freely by hand.
- Inspect wiring: Verify the fan harness is firmly connected both at the fan and at the main control board. Look for damaged insulation or corroded pins.
- Test the fan motor: If you have a suitable DC power source (check fan label for voltage, often 12 VDC), briefly power the fan directly to confirm operation. Alternatively, measure resistance across the fan leads; an open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace the fan: If defective, install a new evaporator fan motor assembly specified for your BODEGA43 model. Transfer any mounting brackets or grommets from the old fan.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the panel, restore power, and confirm that E6 clears and airflow is restored.
Note: If the fan tests good but does not receive voltage from the board, the main control PCB may be faulty.
