Possible Causes

Stuck relay on main control board, Shorted temperature sensor reading too high, Control board logic fault, Incorrect setpoint or mode

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the control board or sensors.

Initial checks:

  • Verify settings: Confirm the set temperature is correct for wine storage and that the unit is not in a rapid-cool or demo mode.
  • Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes to reset the control logic. If L1 returns and the unit continues to overcool, proceed.

Hardware checks:

  • Inspect temperature sensors: A sensor that reads too warm can cause overcooling. Test cabinet and evaporator NTC sensors with a multimeter and compare to expected resistance values.
  • Check main PCB: Look for a compressor relay stuck closed (contacts welded). This may keep the compressor running regardless of temperature.
  • Replace faulty parts: Replace the temperature sensor if readings are incorrect. If sensors are good, replace the main control board.

Note: Overcooling can damage wine. Until repaired, unplug the unit or raise the setpoint and monitor temperature closely.
