Possible Causes
Mis-calibrated temperature sensor, Stuck compressor relay, Control board not cycling compressor off, Incorrect temperature setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.
Steps:
- Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is appropriate for wine (typically 5–18°C depending on type).
- Check with a thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer inside to compare actual temperature with display. A large difference suggests sensor or control issues.
- Inspect sensors: Test cabinet NTC sensor resistance and replace if readings are out of specification.
- Control board: If the compressor runs almost constantly even when the cabinet is below setpoint, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed. Replace the main control board if confirmed.
Until repaired, raise the setpoint or unplug the unit to prevent wine damage.
