Display shows temperature but readings are clearly inaccurate compared to a thermometer

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or the control board.

Steps:

• Verify with a reliable thermometer: Place a calibrated thermometer in the center of the cabinet away from walls and compare readings after several hours.
• Inspect sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet sensor is properly clipped to the evaporator cover or wall and not touching the evaporator directly unless designed to.
• Replace sensor: If readings are consistently off by several degrees, replace the cabinet NTC sensor.
• Control board replacement: If a new sensor does not correct the discrepancy, the control board's calibration may be faulty and require replacement.
