Display shows E0 and the interior temperature does not match the set temperature
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Bosch wine cooler or switch off the circuit breaker before removing any panels. Do not work on live wiring.
Steps to check and address E0:
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then restore power to see if the code clears. If E0 returns, continue.
- Locate the cabinet sensor: The NTC temperature sensor is usually clipped to the evaporator cover or mounted on the rear interior wall behind a small plastic cover. Remove shelves and the interior panel as needed.
- Inspect wiring: Check the sensor wires for cuts, pinches, or burn marks. Ensure the connector is firmly seated on the main control board (usually behind the lower rear access panel).
- Test the sensor: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature (around 20–25°C / 68–77°F), most Bosch NTC sensors read between 5–15 kΩ. If the reading is open (OL), shorted (near 0 Ω), or far outside spec, the sensor is faulty.
- Replace the sensor: If defective, remove the old NTC sensor, route the new sensor along the same path, and secure it with clips or tape away from moving parts and the evaporator fan. Reconnect to the control board.
- Check the control board: If a known-good sensor still triggers E0, the main control module may have a failed sensor input and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
When to call a professional: If you are not comfortable testing resistance or accessing the control board, contact a Bosch-authorized service technician.
