How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before removing any interior panels.
Steps to address E12:
- Check airflow: Ensure bottles are not blocking the air outlets in the upper zone.
- Locate upper zone sensor: Remove upper shelves and the rear interior panel to access the upper zone NTC sensor.
- Inspect and test: Examine the sensor and wiring for damage. Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to Bosch specs. Replace if out of range.
- Reseat connectors: Follow the harness to the control board and reseat the connector firmly.
- Board replacement: If the sensor and wiring are good but E12 persists, the main control board may need replacement by a Bosch-authorized technician.
